BlueCollar vs Jobber AI Receptionist
If you already run your business on Jobber, its receptionist is the cheap, obvious add-on: $29 a month on the pricing page, included on Plus, booking through the online booking you already set up. If you are not on Jobber, you are comparing BlueCollar’s $189 to Jobber’s $49–199 plan plus the add-on, and what you get for the difference is a receptionist built around the phone first: hazard scripts, an owner ring-through, minutes instead of conversation counts, and a line you can hear answer as you before you sign up.
Side by side
Price
BlueCollar
Starter $189/mo (500 minutes, 1,000 texts, you + 1 technician). Growth $349 (1,000 minutes, 5 people, 3 lines). Pro $599 (1,500 minutes, unlimited people, 5 lines). Extra minutes $0.15/min, published. You set a monthly limit. Spam is never billed.
Jobber AI Receptionist
Included on Jobber’s Plus plan ($499/mo monthly, no commitment). Otherwise an add-on at $29/mo on the pricing page (a Jobber feature page has shown $99; confirm with Jobber). Jobber itself: Core $49, Connect $139, Grow $199 a month with no commitment; less with a one-year commitment or paid yearly. Allowances are counted in conversations, not minutes: 30 a month then $0.79 each, or 100 a month, as published by Jobber.
What’s included
BlueCollar
The AI receptionist and the office behind it: CRM with equipment history, good/better/best quotes, invoices with pay-by-text, deposits, memberships, QuickBooks Online sync, technician logins, time tracking with GPS, an “on my way” link, a reviews hub, a free Pro Page, a Boost ads wallet, and an AI assistant that runs the app by voice or text.
Jobber AI Receptionist
A receptionist inside Jobber. Jobber is the office: quotes, invoices, scheduling and payments on its plans.
Phone number
BlueCollar
Keep your number. Your own local AI number is live in minutes; one carrier code sends only the calls you miss to it, and one code undoes it.
Jobber AI Receptionist
A dedicated Jobber number (US, Canada, UK). You forward your line to it with your phone provider.
Urgent calls
BlueCollar
Gas, carbon monoxide, fire or smoke, water near electrical, flooding and sewage get a safety script, and the receptionist rings and texts you during the call. A safety net, not 911.
Jobber AI Receptionist
Listens for keywords you set (“no heat”, “burst pipe”, a commercial account name), then texts you or transfers to one escalation contact.
Booking
BlueCollar
Books real arrival windows on the call once you turn booking on. Off by default. Busy times from your calendar block it.
Jobber AI Receptionist
Books the visit during the call using your Jobber Online Booking settings.
Beyond the phone
BlueCollar
Yes: quotes, invoices, payments, deposits, memberships, QuickBooks Online, team logins, time tracking, reviews. The receptionist’s notes land in the same CRM.
Jobber AI Receptionist
Jobber: CRM, quotes, invoices, scheduling, payments. The receptionist is one feature of it.

Jobber AI Receptionist
Shops already running on Jobber, in the US, Canada and the UK.
How you start
BlueCollar
14-day free trial on Starter with a card on file. Hear it answer as you first, at /try, with no signup.
Jobber AI Receptionist

Choose BlueCollar if
You are not on Jobber and do not want to adopt it to get a receptionist.
You want hazard scripts and an owner ring-through, not a keyword list and one escalation contact.
You want to be billed in minutes with a cap you set, not in conversation counts.
You want to hear it answer as your business before you pay anything.
Choose Jobber AI Receptionist if
You already run on Jobber. $29 inside the app you use every day is hard to beat, and on Plus it is included.
You are in Canada or the UK. BlueCollar is US only.
Your calls are mostly simple and your online booking is already set up the way you want it.
Questions people ask
Is it $29 or $99?
Jobber’s pricing page said $29/mo as an add-on on October 5, 2026, and lists the receptionist as included on Plus. A Jobber feature page has shown $99. We say both and link the pages; ask Jobber which applies to your plan.
Conversations or minutes: which is cheaper?
It depends on your calls. A 30-conversation allowance at $0.79 each after is cheap for short calls and dear for a chatty month; 500 minutes at $0.15/min after suits long calls. A receptionist that books jobs tends to have longer calls.
Can BlueCollar write jobs into Jobber?
No. BlueCollar syncs invoices and payments to QuickBooks Online, and keeps jobs in its own CRM. If Jobber is your system of record, Jobber’s own receptionist or Wakeman fits better.
