Privacy Policy
Last updated October 12, 2026
This policy explains what BlueCollar ("BlueCollar", "we", "us") collects, why, and who we share it with. It covers the BlueCollar apps and bluecollarapp.ai. Two different kinds of information run through BlueCollar: information about you, our customer, and information about your customers, which we handle on your behalf.
1. The short version
We collect what we need to answer your phone line, book your jobs, and bill you. Call audio and message content are processed by AI providers so the assistant can respond. We do not sell personal information. Your customers' data belongs to you — we only handle it to run the service for you.
2. Information you give us
Account and business details: your name, email, password, business name, trade, and service ZIP code.
Billing details: your plan and subscription status. Card numbers go directly to Stripe — we never see or store full card numbers.
Customer records: the names, phone numbers, email addresses, service addresses, job descriptions, estimates, and invoices you create or import.
Anything you send support, including messages and attachments.
Demo and trial requests: the name, business, trade, and phone number you enter when you ask for a demo or try the assistant on our website, so we can call or text you about it.
3. Information created when the service runs
Call data: phone numbers involved, time, duration, outcome, and call audio recordings and their transcripts.
Message data: the content of texts sent and received on your business line, plus delivery status.
AI activity: what the assistant did — jobs booked, quotes drafted, follow-ups sent.
Usage and device data: app version, device and browser type, IP address, pages and features used, and error logs.
How you found us: the referring site, the page you first landed on, and any campaign tags in the link you followed (such as utm tags or an ad click ID), described under Cookies and similar technologies.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
Cookies and browser storage (local storage) are small pieces of data a website keeps in your browser. We use a short list of them, and none for advertising:
Essential — sign-in and settings: inside the app we keep your signed-in session and your preferences (such as light or dark mode) in local storage so you stay signed in. The app can't work without them.
Essential — security: our network provider, Cloudflare, may set cookies that tell real visitors from bots and protect the site from attacks. Stripe sets cookies on checkout and payment pages to prevent fraud.
How you found us: on our public website we keep, in local storage, the referring site, the page you first landed on, and any campaign tags in the link you followed. If you request a demo or sign up, we save it with your request so we know which of our marketing works. We don't send it to ad networks.
Analytics: on our public website only, PostHog sets a cookie and a local-storage entry holding a random ID, so we can count visits and see which pages and buttons are used. Session recording is off, and PostHog never runs inside the app once you're signed in.
We don't use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or cross-site trackers, and we don't let third parties collect information about you on our site for their own advertising.
Your choices: if you visit from California, we ask before loading analytics, and nothing loads unless you choose Accept. Anyone can change their choice at any time with "Cookie settings" at the bottom of our public pages. If your browser sends a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal, we don't load analytics at all. You can also block or delete cookies and local storage in your browser settings — the public site still works, though the app needs its sign-in storage.
5. Why we use it
To run the service: answer calls, send and receive texts, book jobs, and produce estimates and invoices.
To bill you and manage your subscription.
To provide support and respond to what you ask us.
To keep the service secure — detecting fraud, abuse, and carrier violations.
To fix problems and improve the product, using aggregated or de-identified data wherever it will do the job.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
6. AI processing
To generate replies, transcripts, estimates, and summaries, we send call audio, transcripts, message content, and related job details to third-party AI model providers. They process it to return a result to us under contracts that restrict what they may do with it. Don't put information into BlueCollar that you wouldn't want processed this way — including payment card numbers, government ID numbers, or health information.
7. Who we share it with
We share personal information only with service providers who need it to make BlueCollar work:
Our telephony provider, to carry calls and messages.
AI model providers, as described above.
Stripe, for subscription billing and — if you connect it — for taking your customers' payments.
Cloud hosting and infrastructure providers that store and serve the data.
Email and push-notification providers, to deliver messages you've asked for.
PostHog, for usage statistics on our public website — which pages people visit and which buttons they use. It runs on the marketing pages only, never inside the app once you're signed in, and it honours your browser's Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control settings.
Text messaging: we do not sell or share mobile phone numbers, or anyone's consent to receive text messages, with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are never shared with any third party, except the providers that carry the messages.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, to protect our rights or someone's safety, or as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case we'll tell you before your information becomes subject to a different policy.
8. Your customers’ information
When your business line talks to your customers, we process their information on your instructions. You decide what to collect and how long to keep it; we act as your processor. If one of your customers asks us to access or delete their information, we'll generally refer them to you and support you in responding.
You're responsible for telling your customers what you do with their information, and for meeting the consent and call-recording requirements described in our Terms of Service.
9. Call recording
Calls to your BlueCollar line are recorded and transcribed so the assistant can understand and respond. The assistant tells callers at the start that it is an AI assistant and that the call may be recorded. If a caller asks not to be recorded, it stops recording, keeps no transcript, and still takes a message for a callback.
Recording laws vary by state and some require all parties to consent. You're responsible, as the operator of the line, for making sure the disclosure fits the states you operate in. Our call-recording page at bluecollarapp.ai/call-recording explains how this works in more detail.
10. How long we keep it
We keep your account and business data for as long as your account is active. After you cancel, we delete or de-identify it within a reasonable period, except where we need to keep records for legal, tax, accounting, or dispute-resolution reasons. Backups age out on their own schedule. You can ask us to delete specific data sooner at support@bluecollarapp.ai.
11. Security
Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted to the people and systems that need it, and payment card data is handled by Stripe rather than by us. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security — use a strong, unique password and tell us right away if something looks wrong.
If a security incident affects your personal information, we'll notify you and any authorities as the law requires, and we'll give you what you need to notify your own customers when their information is involved.
12. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal information, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights. Email support@bluecollarapp.ai and we'll help; we may need to verify who you are before acting.
Much of this you can do yourself in the app — edit your business details in Settings, delete customers and jobs directly, and cancel your subscription at any time.
13. Messages from us
We send transactional messages about your account, billing, and phone line — these come with the service. Marketing email is separate and you can unsubscribe from it at any time without affecting your account.
14. Children
BlueCollar is a business tool and isn't directed at children. We don't knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has given us information, email support@bluecollarapp.ai and we'll delete it.
15. Where your data is processed
BlueCollar is operated in the United States and information is processed there. If you use the service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to and processed in the U.S., where privacy laws may differ from those where you live.
16. Changes to this policy
We'll update this page when our practices change and revise the date at the top. If a change materially affects how we use your information, we'll give you notice by email or in the app.
17. Contact
Privacy questions or requests: support@bluecollarapp.ai.

We'd rather answer it than have you guess. Email us and a human will get back to you.
